This is the first camera that would go into my bag when I pack for a shooting trip,
it's also the first to come out of the bag when I arrived at the destination.  As you
have heard it from every where, the handling and the performance it offers is
beyond anyone's imagination.   I use it almost at all times now, primarily for wildlife
photography.  It is superb for tracking fast moving wildlife, with precision focusing.

The body with the battery is a bit heavy if you are hauling it around your neck with
it's neck strap.  Most people would complain about its price and weight, but I think
it worthed every bit of it.

It is a complex camera, and  obviously not a point and shoot for anyone. It took me
almost 4 months to fully understand the settings and get it calibrated properly.
Yet, I am finding new tricks every day by playing with it, and thanks to the reviews,
advices and explanations from Canon and other Pros.

I go crazy if I don't get to use it at least once a week, just by holding it in the hand
makes me feel much happier.  All I need now is to master it...this Speed Demon!
I bought the 20D to replace the 10D.  Not that I was tired or got bored with the 10D
or anything, but it was handed down to a DSLR new comer.  This camera could do
most anything for pleasure and serious work.  Performance is much better than
the 10D in terms of speed and handling.  Just like other Canon DSLRs, colors it
produces are extremely accurate, noise is visible at ISO 800 and higher.   One
funny thing I have encountered while reading forums around the nets was, people
actually comparing the 1D Mark II with the 20D, some actually returned their 1D
Mark II and replaced it with the 20D, claimed that they are the same cameras.
Humm...OK!  I love both cameras, but to me there's a big different between the
two.  If for the price I have to agree that if you don't need the 1D Mark II 's 8.5fps,
then the 20D is far more better than those  tiny point and shoot, but if you shoot
wildlife and sports, or if speed if required for your job, 1D Mark II is the answer.

I lug around the 20D almost everywhere I go, with a 2GB CF card and a charger in
the car, you could almost shoot non-stop.  The only complain I have is, the vertical
grip does not seemed to fit right with the body like the 10D with it's grip, and it just
doesn't look as nice together.  Other than that, it is one fun camera to have.
As others were so excited taking delivery of their new digital cameras, I went and
ordered this 10D for myself as well.  10D was my first DSLR, I bought it to replace
the aging 10S, that was also my last film SLR.

I purchased the 10D along with the vertical grip, the EF 24-70mm f2.8L lens, and
the 550EX flash head.  All worked so well together I didn't even bother reading the
manual.  I often go back to admire the first shot,
here it came straight out of the
camera.  The thing I'd like most was the quietness of the mirror, and the worst was
probably the start-up time, it seemed to be forever.

Even with owning the latest bodies like the 1D Mark II and the 20D, I often thought
of the 10D, and there were times I actually missed holding it.  I don't know how can I
keep up with all the future "Dees" being introduced by Canon, it just seems like you
want to buy them all!

If you are new to DSLR, or wanted to experience shooting DSLR, you could still find
one good used 10D out there, very inexpensive, yet much better than a compact.
